Dr. (Mrs.) Anita Benjamin is a visionary and an educationist who with her dynamic leadership has brought much desired social reforms through education to empower weaker section of our society. A born leader, her skills were honed in the early student days of college and opened up vast ventures for her to be recognized as a leader and thereby counted among the Christian community as a community leader at global platform. She is the Founder President of Rashtriya Isai Mahasangh which is a registered Trust/NGO and it is functioning in 22 States of our country to serve the weaker section of our society and for the minorities mainly for the Christian community.
Among many awards and recognitions recently she has been awarded as- Golden Award of Human Excellence for Global Peace by Academy of Universal Global Peace (USA)... for establishing peace in India and with that she has become Global Peace Ambassador. Along with this she has also become Goodwill Ambassador which has been awarded by Human Equity Value Institute (USA) as she has demonstrated the principle of human equity value which is the recognition, consideration, protection and procurement of human values and their equity entitlement. Human equity value is the world’s newest value system approach to human rights, values and policies. As a Christian and minority community leader, she has represented the country and the community and has travelled to U.S.A, Switzerland, Paris, Germany, Thailand etc and interacted with top social and political leaders. She has worked for HIV/AIDS patients, mentally challenged people and also for domestic violence against women & children and in all of these cases she has made positive changes in people’s lives by holding various awareness programs, interactive sessions & seminars and also by providing legal assistance,guidance & counselling. She is confident, articulate and multi-faced social worker who is well-respected by the electorate in her constituency, in her community and beyond. Being heard and making a difference; these are the reasons she wanted to get into social and community service and also into politics. Her passion for social justice, making tangible difference in the community and resolving people’s problems make her the ideal community leader. Public trust and confidence in social services are her primary concern. This is to break the barriers of inequalities and injustices that exist in society which are the root cause of many problems. Like a true professional she can easily recognise the rights of all people regardless of their culture, religious affiliation, ethnicity, race, gender, age or social standing.
